I am always asked three questions when I conduct seminars, workshops or as a guest speaker. Let me answer them for you now:

WHAT EXACTLY IS AN IMAGE CONSULTANT?

It is all about creating a great image and first impression.

What does that mean excactly? A first impression is made in a very short period of time and you only have ONE chance at creating a first impression. It  is made up of many things: your makeup hair, clothes, attitude, manners. speech and even the way you walk. All these things contribute to how the world sees you. An image consultant can help provide you with the tools to give you an edge in a competitive world and will help you achieve greater self assurance and confidence. Who doesn't want that?

HOW DO I BECOME AN IMAGE CONSULTANT?

You can do a very short course and call yourself an image consultant, however a couple of days in a classroom is not going to make you a good one. This is one of the reasons why you need to ask a potential consultant questions about their experience. Check their websites. Ask to see before and after photos of the peole they have helped or perhaps they can give you testimonials. I think the best way to prove someone's worth and the confidence they have in want they do is to ask for a money back guarantee. That will sort out the men from the boys so to speak. Being a worthwile image consultant takes many years of being involved in various industries from makeup to clothing to presentation skills.
